Carbon Dioxide Type
CO2 fire extinguishers use highly pressurised liquid carbon dioxide to starve a fire of oxygen. CO2 is a natural non-corrosive and non-conductive gas and is therefore a perfect choice for extinguishing electrical fires and useful in places where energised equipment is used, such as server rooms or electrical substations. Our CO2 extinguishers are classed as B:E but can also be used on A Class fires to limited success. It should not be used on cooking oil and fat fires (Class F) and flammable gas fires (Class C).
B CLASS
Involve flammable liquids, oils, solvents, grease, tars, petrol and other oil based products
E CLASS
Involve energised electrical equipment such as wiring, machinery and appliances
